April 12, 2016

With the success of last year’s beach cleans which saw a combined total of 634 cleans involving over 12,000 people across the UK SAS are once more upping their targets and, this year, are calling for 200 Lead Volunteers to step forward and run cleans at their local beaches. The Big Spring Beach Clean 2016 will be taking place between the 11th and the 17th of April in partnership with ‘Parley for the oceans’ and ‘Klean Kanteen’ Parley for the Oceans and their global collaborator network are going to ensure that as much of the plastics collected as possible at the Big Spring Beach Clean are diverted away from landfill and upcycled into new products. In light of this, Croyde needs your helping hands on the 16th April. Join SAS, and your local community for a Big Spring beach clean from 12-2pm as part of the biggest Big Spring Beach Clean Series.

If weather plays ball, we will also be having a BBQ

As always this clean will be well supported and encouraged by Park dean, Clean Marine, Croyde Surf Club and the surf life saving club.

Keep your ear to the ground for more cleans happening in the area or if you want to organise your own and need help facilitating one that week, then please get in contact with the SAS Direct.
