Morning all,

Sad News folks as tributes have been flowing in from around the world for New Zealand surfing great Allan Byrne following his shock death in Bali.

The 62-year-old died following a motorcycle accident on the Indonesian island last Friday that left him in a coma.

Byrne had huge respect in the international surfing community for his abilities on a surfboard and also his revolutionary board shaping, especially his channel bottom designs.

He was a four time New Zealand open champion who shifted to the Gold Coast in the late 1970s where he made his name and fame in the board manufacturing business.
