KERAMAS, Bali/Indonesia (Sunday, June 23, 2013) – Small surf on offer this morning at the primary venue of Keramas has prompted event organizers to call a lay day for competition.

Event No. 5 of 10 on the 2013 ASP World Championship Tour (WCT), the Oakley Pro Bali completed Rounds 1 and 2 in excellent conditions at the high-performance righthander and will resume competition when swell size increases.

“Surf hasn’t increased as projected and is still quite small,” Rich Porta, ASP International Head Judge, said. “We’ve called a lay day today, but have stronger swells showing throughout the week and will recommence competition when they arrive.”

Event organizers will reconvene at 7:30am to assess conditions for a potential 7:45am start.

When competition resumes, up first will be Taj Burrow (AUS), 35, up against Miguel Pupo (BRA), 21, in the opening heat of Round 3.
