I have been given a new recipe cook book to try out that’s right up my street and is sending my tastebuds into overdrive.
Put together by Jane and Myles Lamberth who met several years ago whilst working at the Headlands Hotel in Newquay.
Together they discovered not only their love for each other, but also a passion for surfing, the great outdoors and good food.
After a few years of moving around at different locations and establishments, they eventually tied the knot and settled in the West Coast of Ireland with a new venture of their own and opened the Shells Cafe.
The end result is this book, which not only captures their experiences, but also their love for surfing and the whole lifestyle of living and breathing on the Coast on a day to day basis, including some amazing mouth watering recipes with lots of helpful hints and tips as you go along.
But there’s so much more, including fishing and coastal foraging tips, baking bread and choosing the right wines etc etc etc the list just goes on.
It pretty much covers the lot and in my book it’s a winner and a must for any coastal thinking surfing life stylist.
I can feel a vacation in the making for spring 2013.
I can even hear the distant sound of fiddles blowin in the prevailing winds.
