Last week Shaun Brooks, one of Victoria’s (Australia) best surfers, passed away at 36. He was a world junior champ and Victorian open champ and was almost untouchable as a junior, “at that age no one could go near Shaun at Bells on the bowl or Rincon, he was just the man down there amongst all us juniors back then, in that era. Thinking about it today has brought back a lot of memories of the good times”, said Beau Emerton.

He regularly paddled 10 – 30 foot Easter Reef in Victoria’s south west before the days of jet ski assist – here’s some old clips of him charging.
