The Surfers Against Sewage beach clean campaign is looking for volunteers to help
with an ongoing success in North Devon
SAS are following up their successful beach clean campaign in North Devon
with 3 more beach cleans this coming weekend.
So far this month close to a ton of litter has been cleaned from the beach,
with the help of almost 200 volunteers through SAS’s organised beach cleans.
This coming weekend SAS will have their sites set on Westward Ho, Saturday
the 26th from 11am to 1pm, Lynmouth on Sunday the 27th from 2pm to 4pm and
Woody Bay also on Sunday from 10am to 12pm.
“These beach cleans are so important for our coastal environment, especially
in out of the way places such as Woody bay, if it were not for the help of
the volunteers, the ever increasing marine litter issue would just continue
to increase. Each and every person that picks up just one item is helping to
tackle this. Its also a great day out for the family in a beautiful place.”
said Mikey Corker, SAS’s North Devon representative.
