“Who turned out the lights?” Pitch black outside and not even tea time. It’s that awful time of year again when the clocks change, which means no more after work surfs! So you’ve got to love it when a stonking swell coincides with the weekend and yesterday that’s exactly what it did. Benny Haworth Zak Lawton, Dave Hutchings and I surfed till our arms nearly fell off and what a day it was at a lesser known spot.
I felt kind of privileged yesterday getting to surf with two lads that have just made the World tour! Ben has just turned pro and his main sponsor ‘Bear’ have pulled out the stops by handing him a wildcard slot at the World tour event in Italy this November. He will be joined by fellow Hotdogger and mate Zak Lawton, after a great summer in Europe Zak has made the cut to be part of the top 32 in the World and try and take down some big names.
Andy Haworth has just given £5,430.00 to Macmillan from the proceeds of the surf film DevonLanesand Longboards. A massive achievement and everyone is looking forward to his next film!
