Here we go again, for the European Tour of Longboarding by the European Surfing Association. This year starts with the only french step of the tour. Located in South Landes, France, 15Km from Hossegor, the Beach of Vieux Boucau is one of the most famous beach breaks for longboarding. The Vieux-Boucau Surf Club and his authentic surf spirit will host 50 riders during the 17th and 18th of September 2011.
The 3 stars quotation makes this event one of the most important of the 2011 tour. More than 9 nationalities, including the cream of European Longboarding, will compete for the 6,000 euros prize money.
This event is all about ”A vintage ambiance, where athletes perform both classical and radical manoeuvres, that makes longboarding a fashion sport.”
Skindog claimed the event beating all the top European longboarders on his way, including Antoine Delpero in the semi-final on home soil and local legend Remi Aaruzo!!
All of team Skindog were on top form with a standout performance from Ben Howey who reached the final and finished 4th, Ben Howarth got ripped off in the semi and was unlucky not to make the final and Zac lawton who got to the quarters and put on a solid performance. Well done to all of them, they did us proud !!
This was a 3 star event and top points were up for grabs, so Skindog puts himself in a great position for the rest of the tour, and feeling confident going to Ireland this week for the Europeans to defend his title, which will hopefully have a web cast, we will keep you updated over this week.
