The Billabong Rio Pro has relocated back to the Brazilian beachbreak of Barra Da Tijuca and today’s action is slated to see the completion of Round 3 with Round 4 currently on standby.
Stop No. 3 of 11 on the men’s ASP World Title Series, the Billabong Rio Pro ran Rounds 1 and 2 at the lefthander of Arpoador, but has returned to the main event site of Barra Da Tijuca this morning for Round 3.
“We’ve returned to Barra Da Tijuca this morning to capitalize on the more favorable conditions on offer here for Round 3,” Richie Porta, ASP International Head Judge said. “We plan on completing all of Round 3 today and will reassess conditions this afternoon for a possible start to Round 4.”
Billabong Rio Pro Round 3 action is set to begin at 7:30am local time and will see Taj Burrow (AUS), 32, face off against Cory Lopez (USA), 34, in the opening heat of Round 3.
